Maintenance

Audits

All vertical transportation equipment is required by code to have a maintenance contract.  Adherence to that specific contract is achieved through independent maintenance audits and is a service that Gregory M. Davis & Associates takes significant pride in due to the immediate identification of problematic equipment and recommendation of maintenance improvement.

Maintenance Audit Process:

​

  • Identification of equipment including manufacturer, date of installation/modernization, capacity and speed.

  • Complete evaluation of machine room, hoistways, cartops and pits for all equipment.

  • Compliance with prevailing elevator codes and ADA requirements.

  • Measure and evaluate car speeds, door times, leveling accuracy and ride quality in conformance with industry standards or contractual obligations.

  • Review on-site maintenance records.
